Trick or Treat?

Here's an interesting question to ask yourself. Do you view fitness as a trick or a treat? The answer to this question can determine if you will fail or succeed in living a fit life. Don't believe me, read on.

I've had clients who absolutely hated working out. They did it but yet they don't quite get it. To them, fitness is a trick. It something they know they should be doing but if something else comes up there is a good chance they are skipping the workout that day. Most likely they make poor food choices when given the opportunity and are complaining because they don't get the results they want. Undoubtedly, they will quit there program because "it's not working"

I have other clients that view fitness as a treat. They know that their life is bettered by being in shape, having extra energy, looking great and thinking clearly. They fully understand that fitness is as much a part of their life as breathing. They make the right food choices most of the time and try to get the right amount of sleep each night. They know if they do these things, the rest of their life gets a lot better.

It's a mindset really. Do you live the transformation lifestyle because you should or because you want to? Do you really get it? Once you get it, you'll fully understand that fitness is all treat and no trick. Happy Halloween!

Tis the season...

The other day I was at Wal-mart and sure enough the holiday season is in full effect. It won't be long before we are running around like crazy getting ready for Christmas. I love this time of year and I'm ready to get started on the season.

To me, the holidays means giving. Giving time, giving gifts, giving of yourself. With this in mind, Transformation Training and Fitness and Pilates by Mark are in the giving spirit. Check out what we have going on....

1. The 10 til Christmas challenge. - Mark came up with this one. We are challenging anyone who wants to be involved to lose 10lbs by Christmas. Consider it a jumpstart on your 2009 resolution. No fee, just sign up and join in on the fun. Pilates by Mark and Transformation Training and Fitness will match the amount of pounds lost by our clients with a gift to one of our local charities like Project Share. So if we lose 100lbs....We'll donate 100lbs in Turkeys or something similar.

2. Project Share is a great local agency that helps 1000's in need. They will serve over 1200 families with a Thanksgiving meal in the next few weeks. You can pick up a checklist of food that they need and drop it off here if you want. We'll make sure that it gets to the right place.
